The most accurate way to find your belt size is to take a measuring tape and a belt you currently own. Measure (in inches) from under the buckle (where the buckle meets the leather) to the hole you use to close the belt. That value will be the size you need. For example, you measure your belt from the buckle to the hole you use and find it is 36''. This means you need a size 36 belt. If you prefer a little extra hang, add two inches to this value.

I had a few questions about which belt to order and Nab provided a quick response, in less than an hour, with good recommendations that led to my order. My belt arrived within a few days. Opening the box delivered that wonderful premium leather smell, so nice. The leather is thick but supple. The finish is the casual, non-dress belt finish I expected. I was able to easily remove the buckle and snap on my vintage 1974 Bergamot Brass Works buckle that I got as a kid—looks great. The sizing process was spot on and the belt fits exactly as described—it will still fit if I lose or gain waist size. Overall great experience from a local Canadian business that I recommend and will buy from again.

As an ultra runner I watched Sally McRae run the Long Haul 100 in Florida on YouTube. I then looked to sign up for that race which would earn me a belt buckle for completing the 100 miles. So I looked for a Canadian belt and found NAB leather had a Long Haul belt with a BOGO deal. So I signed up for the race and I signed up to purchase the belts with a feeling that fate had a hand in these decisions. They now sit on my mantelpiece to remind me to get out the door and run to achieve my goals. Looking forward to January 2027 to running the race and finally getting to wear this fantastic belt with the Long Haul buckle. In the meantime on May 23rd the Sulphur Springs 100 km race will be the test of my endurance. And the Creemore 80 km Vertical Challenge awaits in October.

The most accurate way is to measure a belt you already own. Measure from under the buckle to the hole you use most often.
We use two kinds of full grain leather - cow hide and sheep skin. All belts and wallets are cow hide unless otherwise stated. NAB Leather is committed to being eco-friendly and as such only makes leather products from bi-products of the food industry. The leather is tanned by the process of vegetable tanning.
PU leather is a faux leather material made with split leather (that's the fibrous part of the hide left over from making genuine leather) which has been coated with polyurethane (hence the name “PU”).

Full Grain leather is the strongest and most durable leather. It has slight imperfections that give it character and you can feel and see a grain to it. It also lasts longer and is resistant to wear and tear. PU leather is generally absent of any imperfections and has a smooth consistent look. It is common in bonded leather belts and which hardly last 3-6 months. If you're looking for leather goods that last, stay away from PU. Genuine leather is a marketing term. If a product contains at least 30% leather, it can be marketed as genuine leather. You never know what you will get with it. It may be full grain or it may be bonded leather. If you're looking for high quality leather that lasts, stick to full grain.
